Halla as a partner of the Grand Prix of Architects 2023

We attended a lecture by Amanda Levete, British architect and chair of the jury of the Architects' Grand Prix 2023.

The content of the very interesting and inspiring lecture was the renovation of existing buildings or the design of new buildings such as museums, galleries, airport halls, concert halls and hospitals. Above all, linking historic buildings in the world's capitals to the "street", and in turn linking the "street" to these monuments, will completely change the perception of these buildings in the eyes of the public, and what's more, everything looks absolutely amazing.

It was interesting to see how complex and challenging the journey sometimes is from design to actual implementation, especially of new and bold solutions, and how much risk architects take in some cases in the context of negotiations with the authorities. Of course, for any such project, an enlightened investor who is willing to invest his or her finances in such projects is a must.

It was also confirmed here again that light, whether natural sunlight or artificial, is an important factor in the overall architectural design and has a major influence on the final outcome of the building. For us, a clear message that working closely with top architects in the Czech Republic is absolutely the right way to achieve our business goal.
